Meet Kelly

Why did you choose Allied Health?

Allied health felt right to me as I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a meaningful difference in people’s everyday lives. After many years working in administrative roles, I realised how much I valued connection, communication, and supporting others to reach their goals. Speech pathology felt like the perfect profession where I can use my strengths in empathy, organisation, and communication to genuinely help people thrive.

What are your preferred practice areas?

I’m especially interested in paediatric communication, early language, speech sound disorders, and literacy. I love the collaborative nature of working with families, teachers, and other professionals to support a child’s development. As I progress through my degree and placements, I’m excited to keep exploring these interest.

What do you enjoy doing on your weekend?

I love spending time with my two little girls and husband! I’m happiest when I’m enjoying a coffee and watching my girls run around a park.

What is your favourite thing about your profession?

My favourite thing about speech pathology is the privilege of being part of someone’s communication journey. I love that the work is purposeful, relational, and constantly evolving - there’s always something new to learn, and every client brings a unique story.
